Nate and the not so great eyes

A couple months ago I had a little feeling that Nate might need glasses sooner than later. I had my first pair of glasses in the 6th grade, and truly thought that we might get by until then. Soon after my little feeling, the school sent home a letter saying that Nate needed to get his eyes checked. Today was a teacher work day, no school for the kids, so Nate had his first eye doctor visit. He sat in the chair with the chart on the wall and the doctor asked Nate to read the smallest line. Nate says, "What lines?". Oh boy, the poor kid has eyes like mine! With one eye shut, he couldn't even read the biggest E. So, you can tell that we had to pick out glasses today. Nate got final say and picked out black spider man glasses, pretty cool. I just hope that he doesn't break or lose them. We are in for yearly appointments, knowing that his eyesight will just get worse. He will have his glasses in about 10 days, so I'll post pictures then.
