Salt

Today is my first day of this quarter that I am home the whole day without any kids. The quiet house is a bit unnerving after the loud and crazy last couple of weeks, but I am enjoying the time to myself. I am determined to get a bunch of homework done, and so far so good. I worked on an essay for Geology today and did research on salt. Did you know that in Roman days, soldiers were paid partly in salt because of it being a hot commodity. The word salary comes from the Latin word salaruim, meaning salt money. So now you know! Hey, if I have to learn all these things, I may as well share the knowledge!
